H.G. Wells and Kenneth Burke

A Doctoral Blog compares H.G. Wells' work to Kenneth Burke ideology

Dr. Jacques Coulardeau, PhD in Germanic Linguistics and ESP Teaching, posted an article on his blog on Feb. 2, debating the work of H.G. Wells. He heavily debates the novel, The Time Machine, with the various film adaptations that have been made throughout the years. He notes how the approach to editing the film, resulted in an audience reaction that was similar to what Kenneth Burke writes, that, "a film’s meaning will change through time along with the audience that builds meaning into the film." This is heavily along the dramatist theory.
