I used David's clues to find this announcement in the *NY Times*, Nov. 30,

KENNETH BURKE SALUTE A two-day conference honoring Kenneth Burke will draw
some of this country's most distinguished minds to the Theatre-in-the-Round
at Seton Hall University Thursday and Friday.

Mr. Burke, 89 years old and a resident of Andover since 1922, has been
praised as America's ''most brilliant and suggestive'' literary critic. He
is the author of 11 books, all recently reprinted by the University of
California Press.

Participants in the program of lectures and discussions, beginning at 1
P.M. each day, include A.R. Ammons, winner of the National Book Award;
Howard Nemerov, a Pulitzer Prize winner; Ralph Ellison, author of
''Invisible Man,'' and, from Yale University, Prof. Harold Bloom and Prof.
J. Hillis Miller, also the president of the Modern Language Association.

Tickets, $10, are available by sending a self-addressed envelope and a
check (made out to Poetry-in-the-Round at Seton Hall) to the Department of
English, Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J. 07079.

Information: (201) 761-9388 or 678-1680.
