for the History of Rhetoric (ISHR), to be held here in Vancouver, BC, July 23-26, 2024. "</span><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif">Continuity and Change in the History of Rhetoric," I'd like to propose a panel that discusses Burke's <i>Permanence and Change</i>, particularly in terms of its historical relation
to previous and subsequent work in rhetoric. What are the text's important continuities and discontinuities with historical works of rhetoric, and/or how did
<i>P&C </i>influence the field going forward, particularly in terms of rhetorical conceptions of continuity and change?</span></span><br>
