[KB] Complexity vs. Power

Dear Colleagues,

For quite a few years I have been telling my students that power and compexity are often/usually/typically inversely related, and that KB is the source of this explanatory insight.  Soon I would like to mention this relationship in a more scholarly venue, a panel at an Am Lit Association conference, and I cannot find the source.  Any help would be much appreciated.
