While I have your ears with my prior anecdotal missive:
I'm lecturing on Bakhtin in rhetorical theory today and I was struck by how many of his ideas appear consonant with Burke's. I don't recall him ever citing Bakhtin (maybe there weren't translations early enough). Has anyone compared the two?
