I arranged a three-lecture tour in 1983.
The last lecture was at Oregon State University, 5/5/83, KB's 86th birthday.
The day before he lectured at University of Oregon. The first lecture
was at the University of California at Berkeley; I'm not sure of the
exact date, but it would have been a day or two before the lecture at
University of Oregon.
An anecdote, maybe "representative" of KB at 86:
We had a birthday party at my house after his lecture. I gave him
books to sign of course (too many). TOWARDS A BETTER LIFE is the one
in which he chose to inscribe more than just his name: "And I do like
the idea that it was my last birthday, May 5, 1983. Thanks for a great
time. K.B."
